Mongolian boots made of leather were traditionally popular among the Mongolian people. The boots are big enough for the calves wrapped with felt, cotton socks and feet bandaged with rags. The boots fit the natural environment of pasturing areas well. The tips of the boots are upturned and the uppers are ornamented with beautiful patterns of appliqué, stitching, embroidery. They can function as shield against the sand, snow, dew, wind and insects.
