Fourth Rehearsal of 13th WUTC Opening Ceremony - News

The opening ceremony of the 13th WUTC is four days away, and relevant preparation work has completed. On the afternoon of June 3, the rehearsal was held for the fourth time in Inner Mongolia Gymnasium and the whole procedure, including the theatrical performances lasted 90 minutes.
Tan Jingfeng, Director-general of Sport Bureau, Dong Fangcheng, Counsel of Department of Education, Li Zhiyou, Deputy Director of Sport Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and FUSC officials watched the rehearsal.
After all the planned ceremonial procedures were completed, some talented teachers and students from Art College of Inner Mongolia University prepared a gorgeous performance of local style, including songs, dances, musical instrument playing, presenting the culture and development of Hohhot city, the spirit of sportsmanship, and the image and dream of university students.
“Song of Green”, one original song of modern and traditional elements composed by Mr. Zhang Tao and sung by his four students highlighted the theatrical performances. The performance was really an enjoyable visual feast to the audience.
Following the rehearsal, a meeting discussing how to improve the ceremony was held following the rehearsal. Mr. Tan Jingfeng summarized the recommendations on some detailed sections such as matters concerning the host and hostess, the entrance order of participating delegations, athlete’s oath and ITO’s oath, playing of the national anthem. Also, the LED screen should contain some related delectable contents scrolling. The rehearsal turned out to be orderly and much improved than the former ones, Mr. Dong Fangcheng said, and he was confident that the opening ceremony would be a great success with concerted efforts of all parties and staff members, and present a gala to the people in Inner Mongolia and the world.
