YONGHWAN CHO Won Kyorugi Gold Injured

On June 11, Kyorugi competition of the 13th WUTC is very intense. Category of men’s 80 kg, 58 kg and women’s 67 kg and 49 kg have completed their preliminaries, semi-finals and finals. All participating delegations are competing fiercely.

In the competition of men’s 80 kg category, SANGJUN KANG from Republic of Korea wins the champion, DIEGO RAMOSAZEVEDO from Brazil is the silver medalist, JARED REED from United States of America and BURAK OZAN KARACA from Turkey are tied for the bronze medal. 

In the men’s 58 kg category, YONGHWAN CHO is injured on his left leg, but he sticks to the competition until he triumphs over his rival by the heavy score of 15 to 7 and wins the champion. He is a good example of Taekwondo sportsmanship and impresses the spectators with his extraordinary strength and remarkable performance. Two athletes from Mexico and Japan are tied for the bronze medal.

Thailand delegation wins the women’s 67kg semi-final firstly, but in the final, Chia Chia Chuang, a Chinese Taipei competitor takes the gold, Guo Yunfei, from China wins the silver, and Korea and Thailand competitors are tied at the third place.   

YU TING HUNG wins the champion in the women’s 49 kg category. JANIRA RIVERRA GARCIA wins the silver medal and competitors from US and Korea are tied for the bronze medal.
